Alma Jo Lotspeich

1934-2017

I was born on the farm and ranch in Ditch Valley Community northeast of Rosston, OK on February 20, 1934, to Kenny and Osie Lotspeich. I was daddy's "baby blue eyes" and was spoiled by him. Died April 26, 2017.

I was preceded in death by my parents, nieces; Debbie Seeger, Linda Brink, and Marvel Fuson; sisters, Louise Sanderson and Joy Mahan; a precious grandson, Quenton Myatt, nephews Kenney Seeger and Barry Lotspeich; and a wonderful brother R.A. Lotspeich.

I am survived by two children; Teressa Jo Dotter and husband Stephen Dotter of Edmond, OK, Dr. Kenney Weinmeister and wife Dr. Tina Myint of Dallas, TX; grandsons, Zach Myatt and wife Brianna, Cameron Dotter and John Weinmeister; granddaughter Alexandra Weinmeister; three great-grandchildren, Gracie and Grant Myatt and Boston Dotter; many nephews, great nieces and nephews and a host of great friends.

I graduated from Rosston High, Southwestern State University with a BS degree in education and Northwestern State University with a Masters Degree in Counseling. I taught elementary school in Kansas for 7 years, and Counselor at Dodge City, Kansas for 25 ½ years. My years as a Counselor were wonderful working with all students, faculty, administration and staff. There were several awards and recognitions, however, I won't bore you with them.

As I traveled life's highways, I had a few bumps along the way, but with my strong will, independence and God's love, I did it my way. It was the chug holes that were tough, but God helped me up and I dusted myself off and got busy. Moss doesn't grow on a rolling stone.

I was a strong believer in God and prayer. I always thanked God every morning when I awoke for having another day and ask Him to help me to do things to make others and myself happy. One day at a time Sweet Jesus, that's all I'm asking of you. I was a member of the Southern Hills Christian Church. Even if I do wrong, today my God will still love me.

My daughter Teressa has been so wonderful, looking after me, calling every morning and evening. Thanks honey. I am so proud of you and admire the outstanding strength you have. I love you very much. Thanks for being my friend.

My son Kenney is a very busy doctor and dad, however, you still had time to tell me you loved me. Thanks for loving me. I'm very proud of you and love you very much.

My words to family and friends: Live each day to the fullest, tell those you love that you do love them, believe in yourself, God, and country. Now don't cry for me, I may be better off than you. Celebrate my life and think of the good times, the laughs, my telling jokes, and my positive and optimistic attitude. To all may God Bless You.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2017 at Southern Hills Christian Church Edmond, OK.
