Annilee McNutt Hughes Finch was born March 8, 1939 in Hobart, OK. She went home eighty-six years later on December 7, 2025. Being the last of her generation, Annilee was preceded in death by her husbands James “Jim” Thomas Hughes and William “Bill” Earl Finch, her parents Alex and Mildred (Heiney) McNutt, her big sister and brother in-law Kathleen and Wayne Chambers, her infant brother Alex Jr, her siblings in-law Suzanne Senter, Johnny Hughes, Caroline Finch, Alice Panunzio, Lewis and Mary Bearden, her son in-law J.L., her cousins Caroline and Max Roten, and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She is survived by her daughter Heather Annilee Hughes Zinn and husband Raymond, grandchildren Andrew and Marie, Patrick and McKenna, Joseph and Arli, Annalyn, and greatgrandchild Bowie, her bonus children Johnny and Sandy Finch, Patricia and David Perez, Merri-Lynn Logue, grandchildren Laura and Nathan Drewelow, Dawn Jarnagin, William and Amber Compton, Alan and Michele Finch, Briana Finch Box, greatgrandchildren, and great-greatgrandchildren, her siblings in-law Janey Hughes, Bobby Finch, and Tony Panunzio, her nieces and nephews Micki and Don Albert, Melanie and Charlie Gomez, Anne-Marie and David Webster, Sharla and Ian Arvizo, Alan and Becky Roten, Kathy and Brad Glen, Jim and Laura Hughes, and David Hughes, and dear friend Patty Freeman.

Growing up in Hobart, Annilee got to know Jim working at the local radio station. They married at nineteen years of age, days before he deployed to Okinawa, and loved their fifteen years together. She graduated from Southwestern University to teach high school drama and debate. After being widowed with a young child to raise, she moved to Edmond to study nursing at Central State University. Her nursing career was remarkable. Upon graduation, she became director of nursing at a large nursing home where her mother and Aunt Ethel lived, allowing her daughter to grow up in a multigenerational family. Next, she worked for a dialysis and kidney transplant unit where she flew kidneys in a cooler across the country. Her passion then became case management, and she continued with that until retiring at age seventy-eight. In addition to her career, she always made time for her sorority Beta Sigma Phi, activities in the church including choir and small group, and serving two summers on a medical mission in Jamaica. After nearly two decades as a widow, a Hobart classmate introduced her to Bill, and it was love at first sight. They married within months and enjoyed thirty-one years together. They traveled the country, lead small group Bible study, and became the best grandparents ever.
