Armenda Loueva Hackler
d. March 13, 2026
Armenda Loueva “Eva” Hackler, 84, was born on May 24, 1941, and passed gently from this life on March 13, 2026, surrounded by family. Eva was born in James Township, Arkansas to Putnam “Jack” Wayne Hale and Lavern Hale. She attended high school in Porterville, California.
She lived her life as a mother first. Her children and grandchildren were her biggest successes. She loved each one fiercely and encouraged each one in her own special way. Eva loved playing the piano and was a skilled pianist who first played for her father’s church and later for the southern gospel quartet, The Landmarks, and the family trio made up of Brian, Renee’ and Jim. She was a devoted secretary and bookkeeper for many years and then in her 40's she became a licensed insurance salesperson and soared to the top of her company selling pre-need burial insurance. She worked hard and loved harder. She was never unavailable to her friends and family. She was also a celebrated Sunday School teacher and built the class she was teaching from 10 members to 75-80 members. She was good at everything she did.
She traveled the world, never met a stranger, encouraged people daily and shared her faith with anyone she could. She never quit and always held out hope in bad situations. She was an amazing mother, nana, homemaker, counselor, friend, sister and teacher. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Eva married James McArthur Franklin on February 16, 1962, he passed on November 17, 2011. There were two children born to the union, Brian Keith Franklin and Renee’ Franklin Clark. Grandchildren born to this union were Kennedy Lea and Jack Dennis.
Eva married Harold Eugene Hackler on December 3, 1990, he passed on November 6, 2021. With this union came four stepchildren, Tamara Lynne Hackler Buskirk, Richard Mark Hackler, Leslie Dawn Hackler Pierce and Matthew Wayne Hackler and twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Eva married Larry Montgomery on January 8, 2023, and remained wed until her death. With this union came three stepchildren, Scott Montgomery, Natalie Poskey, and Erik Montgomery, eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Eva was preceded in death by her father, Jack Hale; mother, Lavern Hale; sister, Kaye Williams; and husband Harold Eugene Hackler. Eva is survived by her husband Larry Montgomery, brother Randy Hale and wife Susan of Jacksonville, Florida, son and daughter-in-law Brian and Marna Franklin of Oklahoma City, daughter Renee’ Franklin Clark and Jay Harper of Headland, Alabama, her grandchildren Jack Franklin and Kennedy Dow, as well as her numerous step-children, step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins, who all loved her dearly.
