Arthur " Buster" Lynn Lambkin

1952-2021

Arthur Lambkin, 68 years of age, was a resident of Guthrie, Oklahoma.  Art fell ill while at home on March 27 th at 2:30 AM from cardiac arrest.  He went on to the Lord at 6:20 A.M that Saturday morning. Art was born April 22 nd , 1952 in Laverne, Oklahoma.  He was the son of Billie Grace (Denton) and Arthur S. Lambkin and was raised by Billie and Chester C. Barton.  He went from high school to U.S. Army enlistment and received his G.E.D. while serving in the Army.  He Enlisted in the U.S. Army on September 26 th , 1969, with his friend Mahlon "Skip" Cooley.  He was discharged January 19 th , 1972 after serving honorably in the Republic of South Vietnam.  He earned the Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Army Accommodation Medal.  He was married to Robin Elizabeth Brown of Oklahoma City in 1972.  Art followed Chester Barton in dirt work, construction, and heavy equipment operation.  He lived and raised his son, Chad Lambkin, in Guthrie for the last 32 years. Art enjoyed the outdoors, working with his hands, motorcycles, praising the Lord, and living life to the fullest.  He was a member of the Heritage Baptist Church, Piedmont Area Veterans Association, and the Downed Bikers Association. Art was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents Robert and Trixy Denton; brothers Randy Denton, Terry Denton, and Jack Lambkin; and nieces Mindy Denton and Mandy Bowsic. Art was survived by his son, Chad Lambkin; sisters, Marie Cecil, Marian Lambkin, and Tammy Beshears; brother Tim Lambkin; aunts Rita Ladd, and Clara Duble; nieces and nephews Natasha, Cody, Toby, TJ, Tommy, Ricky and Amy.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Matthews Funeral Home. Services will be held at  2:00 p.m., Friday, April 2, 2021 at Heritage Baptist Church in Edmond, OK with interment to follow at Kansas Cemetery in Piedmont, OK.
