Barbara A. Edens
1959 – 2022
On Friday, September 2, 2022, Barbara A. Edens, loving mom and grammy, went to be with the Lord at the age of 63.
Barbara was born February 8 th , 1959, in Enid, Oklahoma, to Darrell and Maxine Swisher. She was thrilled to be a mom, and then a grammy. She became a nurse and loved taking care of people in all areas. She also loved being a Kids Kamp nurse for twenty-five years and serving in Girls Ministries for thirty-seven years at her church.
Barbara is survived by her husband Gary Baker; daughter Melanie La Rue and husband Christopher and their children, Braden, Nathan, Landon, Gracen, Austin, Teagan, and Judson; daughter Jenifer Baugess and husband Kurt, and their children Cheyenne, Jaxon, Presley, Ellie, and Spencer; son Matthew Edens and wife Cassie; daughter Julie Nelson, and her children A'Darien, Brock, Ryler, and Raylee; stepson Kyle Baker and wife Jacey, and their children Emerson, Archer, and Joss; stepson Trent and wife Alex, and their children Presley, Hendrix, and Teagan; parents Darrell and Maxine Swisher; mother in law Liz Baker; brother David Swisher; sister Judy Huff and husband Larry, sister in love Karen Swisher; brother in law Wayne Baker and wife Gwen; brother in law Tony Baker; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and "adopted" children and grandchildren.

Public visitation will be held Tuesday, September 6 th , 2022, at Matthews Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family present to greet friends and guests from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Services will be held Wednesday, September 7 th , 2022, at Spring Creek Assembly of God, Edmond, OK beginning at 10:00 a.m.. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 6500 S Perkins Rd, Stillwater, OK 74074.
