Betty Lou Bailey, 82, was called to her heavenly home on December 10, 2020, her belated husband's birthday.  A celebration of life service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, December 15 th at the Matthews Funeral Home, in Edmond, OK, The burial service will follow at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery (aka 100F Cemetery), Ringling, OK at 2:00 p.m.

Betty was born to Jesse (Jack) and Linnie Gibson, on July 30, 1938 in Ringling, OK.  She played basketball, played tenor saxophone, and was in show choir while at Ringling High School.  On April 29, 1955, she married Floyd Bailey.  They were married for 59 years until his passing in 2014.  They shared a love of gospel music, sang in a quartet, were youth ministers, and spread the gospel wherever they went.  They had 4 children, Sherry, Donny, Christi, and Karen.  Betty was a Sunday School teacher and played piano in church.  She was beautiful, creative, talented, gifted, giving, strong, faithful, and a prayer warrior.  Betty was a devoted Christian and member of the Heritage Hall Fellowship Church, where she faithfully attended every Sunday.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Sherry Helms and husband, Johnie, of Edmond, OK. Her son, Donny Bailey and wife, Jean, of Parker, CO.  Her daughter, Christi Lewis and husband, Brent, of Fort Worth, TX. Her daughter, Karen Powers and husband, Andy, of The Woodlands, TX. Grandchildren are Tara Gray and husband, Christian, Tabitha White, Angela Burchett and Mike, Aubrey Coombs and Erik, Brett Cox and Brittany, Cassi Hutchings and Garrett, Madison Cooper, Parker Powers, and Pierson Powers.  Great grandchildren are Makena and Ian Gray, Lunden Wentzell, Lauren and Hayden Coniglio, Graham and Wesley Coombs, Kynslee Cox, Autumn and Violet Hutchings.
