Betty L. Evans, age 88, of Edmond, Oklahoma, entered eternal rest on April 10, 2022.
Betty was born on March 7, 1934 in Stratford, Oklahoma to parents Coy and Rhoda Duke. She married Fred Evans in Ada, Oklahoma on March 22, 1951. They raised two beautiful daughters, Sherry and Mitzi. She was a manicurist and ran her "Nails By Betty" salon out of her home. After retiring from her manicurist career, she assisted Fred in running his snack bar in the One Grand Park office building in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Betty enjoyed traveling and spending time with family.
Betty was predeceased by her husband, Fred R. Evans, parents, Coy and Rhoda Duke, sisters Gene Oliver and Erma Callen, and sweet dog Max Baer. Betty is survived by her children Sherry Burroughs and husband Tom, Mitzi Jordan and husband Curt, grandchildren Justin Hatcher and wife Jessica, Ryan Burroughs and wife Jennifer, Evan Burroughs and wife Krissy, Misty Jordan and fiancé Zach, great-grandson Payton, great-granddaughter Audrey, and many cousins, nephews, and nieces.
Betty will be dearly missed as Mom, Grandma and Gigi.
We will celebrate her life at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2022 at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond, Oklahoma.
