1939-2014

Betty Ann Murphy, 75, of La Vernia, TX, went to be with our Lord on August 21, 2014. Betty was born Jan. 5, 1939 in Oklahoma City to Harvey H. Hayden and Ida Mae Hayden. She married Donald C. Murphy (1935-1963) in 1955 and together had son Michael Murphy and daughter Deborah Onderek. Betty enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and watching them grow. In her spare time she gave grief to many doctors and nurses, we will miss you Nanny!

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey H. Hayden and Ida Mae Hayden; husband Donald C. Murphy.

Betty is survived by sister, Judith Horner; children, Michael Murphy and Deborah Onderek; and grandchildren, Michael Murphy II, Michaela Murphy, Stephen Murphy, Josh Onderek and Courtney Black. Great grandchildren, Michael Murphy III, Mallory Murphy, Hayden Black, Hudson Black, Jackson Onderek and Addison Onderek.

Public viewing will be held at the Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond, Oklahoma, on Tuesday, August 26 between 3 pm – 6 pm.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 27 at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond, Oklahoma at 10 am.
