Betty Wham

December 31, 1938-December 25, 2020

On Friday, December 25, 2020 Betty Lou Wham went to be with the Lord at the age of 81.  She loved the Lord with all of her heart and always took every opportunity she had to share that love with people she would meet.

Betty was born in Oklahoma City, OK to Donald Malcolm Sr and E. Rodillia (Mauldin) Wham.  Betty married Wayne Hirschler and they raised two beautiful children, Debi and David.  She worked in several facets of the oil and gas industry from right of way to oil and gas balancing to division order analyst.  She worked hard at her career and was extremely knowledgeable and became a go to source for many of her land man peers.  She also was the owner/designer of Hirschler Florist.  In 1971, she was nominated Outstanding Young Women of America.  Betty also enjoyed to sing.  She was always an active member of the church choir, as well serving as the choir director.  She sang in a quartet for Sweet Adelines, and she even travelled to Europe to sing with her sister-in-law's choir.  After she retired, she began taking care of her great grandchildren, which was the highlight of her life.  She especially enjoyed baking with her grandchildren!

Betty is proceeded in death by her father, mother, daughter, brother, and sister-in-law.  She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Debi and Danny Daniels, son David Hirschler, Grandchildren Amy and Craig Bielamowicz and their children Caleb and Megan; Amanda and Lee Jeffries and their children Aubree, Abigail, & Adalyn; Jeremy and Amy Daniels and their children Alison, Madison, & Austin; Amber and Bryan Bacon and their children Katie, Bre, & Asher; Jon-Michael and Tessa Daniels and their children Chris, Ethan, Olivia, and Everly; Callie and Evgeny Podsezertsev and their son Alex; and Jordyn Hirschler.

A Celebration of Betty's Life will be held Wednesday December 30, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Crossings Community Church in Oklahoma City.
