Bob Garner Moore

November 30, 1954 — November 30, 2024

Bob Garner Moore was born on January 12, 1955 to George Milton Moore and Barbara Jean (Garner) Moore in Shawnee Oklahoma.  The son of a highway patrolman, they moved several times to Tulsa, Blackwell, Guymon, Wewoka, Broken Arrow and finally landed in Edmond Oklahoma when Bob was in Jr. High.

Bob was a great athlete and was involved in track, football, and basketball. During high school he was on the varsity football and track team every year before graduating in 1973 from Edmond Memorial High School.

After attending some college at Central State, he went to work for Trend Construction in Edmond.  Other jobs, including his own start up, Taylor-Moore Sales, were Whitetail Oilfield Equipment Inc., and Beard Oil and Gas.  This experience in the gas and oil business led him to eventually establish Summit Supply Inc in 1995 along with partners Mark Moore and John Bridwell.  The company continues to flourish today.

Besides work, Bob was a family man.  His first marriage saw the birth of his firstborn daughter Randi.  Then he married his high school sweetheart, Paula Kay Brown and was stepfather to her daughter Amber, and later they had Monica together.  He loved all three daughters dearly.

Bob was saved and baptized as a boy in Wewoka, but a near death experience from a heart attack in 2012 led him to seek a closer relationship with God.  Shortly thereafter, his wife Paula passed away and he began attending church with one of his brothers.  In 2016 he met Susie Moore who became his wife a year later and joined North Pointe Baptist Church in Edmond where he was discipled and baptized.

Bob had many interests and passions, including hunting, playing golf, classic cars, traveling with his wife, and playing guitar.  In his younger years he played in a band called Excalibur.  For the last twenty years he was active in the whitetail deer breeding business on his farm, and worked to advance the farming conservation efforts of whitetail deer in the state.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, George and Barbara, wife Paula Moore, and stepdaughter Lucy McCollom.  He is survived by his wife, Susie Moore of the home, brothers, George Moore and Mark Moore (and spouses), and daughters Randi Lane Dunning, Amber Dawn Bonds, Monica Kay Moore, stepdaughter Alyssa McCollom, (and spouses) several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He loved God, he loved life, he loved his family and his friends.  He will be dearly missed, but we are rejoicing that he is now free from pain and with his Savior.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Jess Armor, Dr. Noel Williams, and Good Shepherd Hospice for their care and compassion during Bob's illness.

Services will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at North Pointe Baptist Church, 5300 NW 220th St, Edmond, OK 73025.
