Bobby Gene Arnold

Bobby Gene Arnold, age 87, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026. He was born on September 20, 1938.

Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife, Rita Arnold of Edmond; his daughter, Carol Arnold of Edmond; his son, Chris Arnold and daughter-in-law Leigh Ann Arnold of Edmond; his grandchildren, Dallas Arnold and wife Ai Arnold of Tokyo, Japan, Chase Arnold of Edmond, and Allison Mendez of Yukon; and his great-grandson, Kai Arnold of Tokyo, Japan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William F. Arnold and Marie P. Arnold of Cordell, Oklahoma, and his brother, William F. Arnold Jr. (Bill) of Cordell, Oklahoma.

Bob graduated from Cordell High School in 1956 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration with distinction from the University of Oklahoma in 1960. He proudly served in the Air National Guard Reserves from 1961 to 1967. Following his service, Bob built a long and successful career as a Certified Public Accountant, dedicating over 50 years to his profession.

Bob will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his strong faith, his work ethic, and the steady presence he provided to those who knew and loved him. He had been a faithful attendee of North Church since 2018.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Trinity Hospice and Tessa’s Landing Group Home for the compassionate care and support provided to Bob during the final 10 months of his life.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond, OK.

Services will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Matthews Funeral Home Chapel in Edmond, OK.

Interment will be held following the service at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond, OK.
