Bobby Gene Loyd
1936-2019
Bobby Gene Loyd passed away on April 26, 2019 in Edmond, Oklahoma. Bob was born in Oklahoma City on July 23, 1936 to Charlie and Dorothy (Barnes) Loyd. Bobby married Naomi R. Tate on September 4, 1956 and had two children Bruce A. Loyd and Angela (Loyd) Aparicio. He graduated college with a math degree and was a Supervisor for AT&T/Southwestern Bell for 28 years, this career moved his family around the United States a great deal. Bob retired early and traveled all 48 states in their motor home with Naomi. He loved spending time with family, grandkids and playing golf. Bob was the Deacon of his church and taught Sunday school for 50 years. He is preceded in death by his daughter Angela, both parents, one brother and two sisters. He is survived by his wife Naomi, his son Bruce and family of Edmond.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Heritage Baptist Church in Edmond, OK with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery Oklahoma City, OK.
