Carol Jean Lynch
1933-2016
Carol Jean Lynch (CJ) passed away at her home on Monday, August 29, 2016 with family members by her side. The only daughter to Goldie Mae Lewis, CJ was born in Commerce, OK on September 8, 1933. She graduated from Commerce High School. She married Robert Lynch in 1953, and together they raised four children. CJ is preceded in death by Robert Lynch and Goldie Mae Williams. She is survived by sons Darrel Lynch, Robert Lynch Jr. and wife Brinda, Wesley Lynch; daughter Cathy Pugsley and husband Wally; grandchildren Sarah Woods and husband Casey, Travis Lynch, Garret Pugsley, Cody Lynch and wife Lila; and great-grandchildren Piper Lynch, Sam Woods, Carter Lynch, and Goldie Woods.
Just as she faithfully served her friends, family and church in her personal life, CJ served loyally in her professional life as well, working at Keller Williams Furniture Manufacturing, Metro Executives, Smith and Pickel Construction, and St. Mary's Episcopal School. CJ will always be remembered by those who loved her for her loyalty to family and church, her amazing sense of style, and her ability to feed the masses.
The family expresses its gratitude to OU medical staff and nurses, Elaine's transport and Good Shepherd Hospice.
CJ's Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 325 East 1 st Street, Edmond, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Mary's Episcopal Church.
