Carol Jean Wrede was born August 17, 1940 to Collis T. Jones Sr. and Verda L. (Pugh) Jones in Bloomburg, Texas and left this life on January 11, 2018.

Her and her husband, Richard Wrede, have been married for 55 years. She served as the 1 st Deputy for the Canadian County Treasurer's Office. She enjoyed photography, sewing, stain glass, and crocheting. Other hobbies included building doll houses, genealogy, drawing, and painting.

She is preceded in death by father Collis T. Jones and mother Verda L. Jones. She is survived by husband Richard Wrede of Edmond, OK; brother, Thurman Jones and wife Kathy of El Reno, OK; daughter Sherry Kozak and husband Steve of El Reno, OK; daughter Michelle Harryman and husband Terry of Castle Rock, CO; daughter Shelly Wrede of Edmond, OK; grandchildren Robert L. Kozak and wife Leslie of El Reno, OK; Alexis Brown and husband Tyler of El Reno, OK; Heather Burrus and husband Joshua of Midland, TX; Hayley Kerley and husband Matt of Aurora, CO; Holly Harryman and Elliot Crawford of Stillwater, OK; great-grandchildren Taylor Sorrels of Moore, OK; Nicole Sorrels of Edmond, OK; Gabriella Sorrels of El Reno, OK; Brianna Sorrels of Moore, OK; Jonathan Kozak of Stillwater, OK; Gabrielle Kozak, Ashlynn Kozak, Kobe Mendez, Kyera Mendez and Keaton Kozak; great-great-grandchildren Braydon Sorrels, and one on the way.

Services will be held on Tuesday, January 16 th , 2018 at Matthews Funeral Home.
