Carolyn Sue McCuan
1945-2018
Carolyn was born January 1, 1945 in Blackwell, Oklahoma, to David H. and Mozelle Johns. She went to school, K-12 in Blackwell, graduating in 1963.
She married Jim McCuan July 2, 1964, at the First Church of the Nazarene in Blackwell.
Jim and Carolyn moved to Edmond in 1965.
They welcomed their daughter Shelly into the world in 1970.
Carolyn was a homemaker and she sold Shaklee for over 40 years. Everything that Shelly was involved in, Carolyn was active and present.
She was active in church, singing in the choir, cooking Wednesday evening meals, and was a true servant. She was a member of Edmond First Church of the Nazarene.
Carolyn passed away April 14 th at Mercy Hospital. Services will be held Tuesday, April 17 at 10:00 am at Edmond First Church of the Nazarene, with internment at Waterloo Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband Jim, of the home. Daughter Shelly and husband Mike, of Edmond. Brothers David Johns and wife Karen, of Edmond; Dennis Johns and wife Darlene of Braman; and Dwaine Johns of Blackwell. Grandsons Britain and Barrett Trower of Edmond, Tony Trower and wife Megan of Oklahoma City. Great Granddaughters Esly and Emerson Trower, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
