1932 – 2015

We mourn the loss but celebrate the life of Charles Marion Tallon, who went to be with his Savior in heaven on June 20, 2015. Marion was born on May 10, 1932, in Tishomingo, OK. He graduated from Terral High School in 1951 and married his high school sweetheart, Frankie Robinson, on July 13, 1956, in Chickasha, OK. Marion and Frankie had two children, Bruce and Kelly. Marion was known for his quick smile, friendly nature, and deep love for God and others. He was happiest when with his family, which he and Frankie often gathered at Lake Tenkiller for boating, waterskiing, and lots of laughter. He loved going to ballgames of any kind, especially when his grandchildren were playing. He was hardworking, loyal, honest, and disciplined all his life ­— serving four years in the U.S. Navy, stationed in Yokosuka, Japan; working 42 years as an Assembly Manager at Kimray, a company he dearly loved; and in retirement as a skilled carpenter, caretaker, tinkerer, and doting Granddad. Marion also served his church family for decades as a deacon at the Church of Christ congregations at Del City, Newcastle, and Memorial Road in Edmond.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Noel and Jim; four sisters, Dorothy, Marie, Bertha, and Francis; and son, Bruce. Marion is survived by his wife Frankie; daughter Kelly George and husband Kelly, their children: Jade, Jackson, and Jase; wife of the late Bruce, Terry Tallon Adler and their children: Tyler and wife Brooke, Zack and wife Lauren, and their children Eli and Evyn.

The celebration of Charles Marion Tallon's life will take place at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond, OK, on Thursday, June 25 ^th at 10:00 a.m., with a viewing scheduled on Wednesday, June 24 ^th from 2:00-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family desires to honor Marion through memorial gifts to the Missions fund, a work he proudly supported, at Memorial Road Church of Christ, 2221 E Memorial Rd, Edmond, OK 73013.
