Charles “David” Von Holten, 83, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on August 13, 1942, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, David was the son of Earl and Peggy Von Holten. He built a successful career as an investment advisor, earning the trust and respect of clients through his integrity, wisdom, and steady guidance.
Above all, David valued family. He was a devoted husband to Janice Von Holten and a proud father to Laurie Johnson and her husband Jon; Chris Von Holten; Dusty Rust and his wife Missy; and Julie Watts and her husband Jeremy. He was a beloved grandpa to Taylor and her husband Blake, Ryan, Logan, Matthew and his wife Zoe, Michael, Tyler, Lauren, and great granddaughter Presley, each of whom brought him immeasurable pride and joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Peggy Von Holten, and his brother, Edward Von Holten.
David had a deep love for golf, treasured time spent with his family, and adored his dogs. He was uniquely humorous, known for his quick wit and unforgettable belly laughs that could fill a room. His generosity touched many lives, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand or share thoughtful advice.
He will be remembered not only for his professional accomplishments, but for his warmth, his laughter, and the steadfast love he showed to those around him. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished so deeply.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, to be announced.
