Charolette Walsh

Charolette passed away on August 26th, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. During this hard-fought ordeal, her spirit never dimmed. She gave her all to stay with the ones she so desperately loved.

Charolette was born on March 20th, 1969. She grew up in Del City, Oklahoma. After graduating from Del City High School, she entered banking and remained in the field until her retirement in 2022.

Charolette had many interests. She was an avid reader and a member of her neighborhood book club. Charolette was also creatively talented & exhibited her work at the Edmond Arts Festival Every Year. She enjoyed visiting with the patrons & other artists about their passions. What Charolette excelled at most was being a devoted mother, grandmother, and wife. She had a relationship with her children and grandchildren that everyone should wish to achieve. She was their biggest fan and counselor during difficult times. Always giving freely of her time & efforts to ensure their happiness. One of her greatest joys was hosting “Nanny Camp.” She would take the grandchildren, one at a time, for a week. That week was spent fulfilling the wishes of her grandchildren.

There were two men in Charolette’s life. Both were loved in different ways. Jimmy Northrip, the father of her children, and Micky Walsh. Jimmy and Charolette, though divorced, maintained a strong bond as they raised their children. To Micky, Charolette was a loving wife who always brought Joy and Happiness into the marriage. A union that was sadly cut short by her illness.

Charolette is survived by her husband, Micky Walsh. Children: Rebecca Crossett, Trey Northrip, Brooke Northrip-Klaus and spouse Zachary Klaus, Jordan Smart and spouse Zachary Smart. Morgan and John Stradal. Grandchildren: Everleigh, Addisyn, Eli Crossett, Marie & Val Klaus, Cooper Stradal, JD Northrip, and Madelyn and Emma Smart. Mother: Joyce Swanda, Stepfather: Mike Swanda. Siblings: Bill, Shonda (Children) Gracie Sewell, Maddison McCoy & David, Camilia, (Children) Callum, and Stella Sewell, and many family and friends whose lives were touched by her love.

She was preceded in death by (Father) Leonard Sewell, (Aunt) Frieda Akerson, (Aunt) Linda Jones, and (Aunt) Karla Rouse.

Charolette was the light that burned brightly. Her death will not extinguish that light as we hold her tightly to our hearts.

A Memorial Service to honor the life Charolette Walsh will be held Thursday, September 3, 2026, beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the Matthews Funeral Home Chapel in Edmond, Oklahoma.
