Christopher Adrain-Dean Matheson

On July 30th, 2026, at the age of 38 years old, the elevator to Heaven came down to take Christopher Adrain-Dean Matheson to his forever home.

Christopher was the oldest of five children. He was born on a Friday evening March 9, 1988, at Deaconess Hospital in OKC.

He survived by his mother Marilynn Freeman, father Robert Matheson, and stepfather Michael Collins. A sister Michaele Bristow, (Sean), a brother Zachary Collins (Ashlynn), a brother Michael Walker, a brother Timothy Freeman, (Brooklyn), one son, paternal grandmother, Mary Belew, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parental grandfather, both of his maternal grandparents, and both of his step grandparents.

When Christopher was little, he loved animals and reptiles. He would do whatever he could to save all the animals that he could. One of his favorite things he loved to do as child was build with Legos. He had several of them all over his grandparents’ home. He was creative with Legos and could build anything. Even though he had asthma that did not stop him from spending lots of time outdoors, playing in the creeks, climbing trees, swimming, riding his bicycle and fishing. Another thing he enjoyed was wolves and dragons. The mystifying of dragons and wolves always fascinated him even more as he grew up. He was also active in Boy Scouts.

There was a time when Christopher was a child, he was curious what would happen if he got some WD40 and lit it. So went to the back yard behind the shed poured some WD40 on the dirt, lit a match and dropped it in the puddle of WD40. Of course, there was some grass that had to be nearby, and it went up in flames. He came running into the house smelling of something burnt and WD40 and told me he did not know what happened, but the backyard suddenly was on fire.

He was a sweet child, however he tended to get into a lot of mischief, mainly because he caused it himself. If Christopher loved you, he loved you hard. He also tended to wear his emotions and feelings on his sleeve.

At the same time, he was a daredevil, hardheaded and very strong-willed. When he set his mind to something, there was no talking him out of it. He had to learn everything the hard way. He had a weird sense of humor that we all loved about him. He was a high school graduate from John Marshall high school. While he was in high school, he was an active member of the U.S Air Force ROTC. He wanted to join the Armed Forces after high school however asthma kept him from doing that. His occupations consisted of working in construction, fast food, and warehouses.

Christopher had various hobbies and interests. One hobby was the love of audio which he shared that love with his brother Timothy. He always had either an animal or a reptile as a pet. He loved to fish, he loved to drive fast, listen to music and when he put his mind to it, he was a hard worker. He also enjoyed the love of shooting guns just like his both his brothers Zachary and Timothy. Christopher also enjoyed teasing his sister Michaele at every chance that he got. Christopher believed that music spoke to him and it was a way for him to work through and communicate his feelings and emotions.

He enjoyed his nieces and nephews when got the chance to spend time with him.

Christopher became a child of God at the age of 12, was baptized at Lone Star Baptist Church where he remained a member for years.

He will be surely missed every single day. God had other plans for him so someday we will see him again standing next to God.
