Christopher "Chris" Joseph Rhoda was born on October 11, 1974, in Rochester, NY to Nancy Louise (Bates) and William John Rhoda Sr. Chris enjoyed RC car racing, playing golf, and bowling. He was a diehard Buffalo Bills fan and enjoyed watching games with his brother, David and wife, Kristi. He and his wife, Kristi (Waggoner), were married on July 6, 2012. They traveled when they could and maintained a supportive and loving relationship when Kristi worked overseas for a time. The best thing about Chris and Kristi's relationship was their banter. You could see that they could tease each other and still have a loving, kind relationship. After a two- and half-year battle with kidney disease, Chris passed away on May 14, 2025.
He is survived by his wife and stepdaughter, Audra Waggoner and her wife, Rachel of Oklahoma City; his mother-in-law, Nancy Waggoner of Edmond; brother and his wife, David and April Rhoda of Yukon and their daughters, Madelyn and Meredith; sister and her husband, Michelle and Antony Davis, and her boys, Jonathan, David, William, and Jeffrey Christian. One of Chris's favorite titles was that of Uncle. Chris was a fun-loving, silly, and tender uncle, always happy to see them. He was always proud of his nephews and nieces and spent time with them whenever he could. Chris was always willing to help if a friend or relative needed him; he could be counted upon to make all around him laugh, and he just brought joy to those around him.
David and Chris had a special relationship as brothers. They were 4 years apart and very much alike. Oftentimes siblings who are that much alike will run into problems due to their similarities, but David and Chris were different; their likenesses were their strong suits.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father and brother, William Rhoda Jr.
A come and go celebration of life will be held at Town and Country Christian Church, 2200 Cornwell Dr, Yukon, OK 73099 on May 31, 2025, from noon to 2 pm.
