Cindy Dennis
1959-2022
Cindy Dennis, 62 of Edmond, Oklahoma was born June 9 th , 1959 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to Arthur and Pearl Gunsallis. She is survived by her husband, Don; daughter Jennifer Sweet and husband Matthew Sweet; daughter Misty Clark and husband Curtis Clark; two grandsons Austin and Ayden Sweet; three granddaughters Abigail, Madalyn and Payton Clark; and many other family members and friends. Cindy loved spending time with her family. For many years, her and Don would rent a big house at some neat vacation spot and all of the kids and grandkids would all come and stay under one roof and enjoy each other and the festivities of that location. She also loved family gatherings with her brother, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, and nieces and nephews. Close friends were also important to Cindy and she loved spending time with her and Don's best friends, who became like family, Judge and Caryl Morris.
In January of 2015 Cindy was diagnosed with terminal Stage IV Colon Cancer. She spent the next 7 years with Don by her side, fiercely battling the cancer, while making the most of living to the fullest the days that she had left. Her goal for each day during that time was to get up, make the most of and enjoy that day.
Her recent hobbies included spending time at Grand Lake, OK, coloring on her Kindle, and visiting with her friends from American Greetings. Cindy passed away peacefully in her home with family members by her side January 3 rd , 2022.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, January 7 th , 2022 at Edmond Church of Christ. Graveside Ceremony at Gracelawn Cemetery immediately following.
