Clara Mae Bryan – May 18, 1925 – March 20, 2020

Clara Mae Bryan was born on May 18 th , 1925 to Russell and Ida (Patterson) Ewing in Warsaw, IL. She was the second of four daughters. She went home to God on March 20, 2020 surrounded by her children. Attended school in rural OK in Grimes and Cheyenne, OK.

She married her dark-haired sweetheart, George Marcus Bryan on June 4 th , 1943. The war called, and she became a very young military wife. When George returned home from Italy after WWII, they made their home in Western OK where they farmed and raised their four children. They enjoyed farm life and had 3 months short of 68 years together.

Clara Mae was known for her cakes and candy making that she loved to share with family and community. She also loved cross stitching which she also loved to share. She was a great woman of faith and loved God with all of her heart, soul and mind. She never met a stranger and had a ready hug for anyone and made everyone feel special.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother to an adoring family. She loved and was loved beyond measure and will be missed greatly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George, parents Russell and Ida Ewing, two sisters, Loretta Walker and Beatrice Grunewald. Also, two precious grandchildren, April and Brent Wiederstein and a loving daughter in-law, Linda Bryan.

Survived by four children, Kendall and Donita of Weatherford, OK, Joy and Joe Wallace of Yukon, OK, Jeanette and Allen Wiederstein of Edmond, OK and Norman and Marilyn Bryan of Guthrie, OK. Grandchildren, Lisa and Paul Harrison, Jeff and Amy Bryan, Dustin and Tina Mounts, Ryan and Haley Mounts, Jonathan Mounts, Amy and Ken Waite, Brad and Wendy Wallace, Debbie Wiederstein, Heath and Tiffany Wiederstein, Lance and Sarah Bryan and Paige and Jordan Sowers. She is survived by twenty-one great grandchildren.

We extend our gratitude to the Lionwood Retirement Center for their love and care of our mother. Also, for Dr. Karen Ross, her personal physician who went above and beyond loving and caring for our mother.
