Clarence Henry Glenn
1930 – 2020
Clarence Henry Glenn, known as "Foo" or as "Pop" passed away on January 20, 2020 at the age of 89 years. Clarence was born in Waterloo, Oklahoma on October 27, 1930. His family moved to Edmond when he was 14. He worked in the Oil Field industry as a tank truck driver and tool pusher. He married Henryetta (Hinky) Cowell on June 29, 1949. They were married for 60 years until she passed in 2010. They had three children, Les, Danny, and Sheryl. They also had guardianship for Tina Barnes from age 10 until she graduated high school. Clarence retired from Harper Oil in 1985. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved to go watch his kids play sports and then his grandkids. He also was an expert at playing his Nintendo. He raised doves and loved to feed the squirrels, we called him "The squirrel whisperer." He loved burning the brush pile at the lake house. He loved gardening and he loved playing dominos with his family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Henryetta, his parents, Clarence Everett Glenn and Doris May Ziegelgruber Glenn, and his brother James Rolliegh Glenn. He was survived by his sisters Ida Jane Gullet and Doris Ethel Peery, his children Leslie Wayne Glenn and wife Vicki, Danny Lee Glenn and wife Amy, and Sheryl Lynn Langford and husband Earl. He had 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. He will be missed by them all.
Services will be held on Saturday, January 25th at 2:00 P.M. at Matthews Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow at Waterloo Road Cemetery.
A public visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th from 3:00 – 8:00 P.M at Matthews Funeral Home.
