1922-2019

For 20 years Clella followed her career Navy husband, Harold, living in Connecticut, New Jersey, Virginia, Florida, and Italy until settling in Edmond in 1961. She graduated from Central State College in 1967 in History Education and taught history at Edmond Mid-High School until retiring in 1979.

Clella was born Oct 15, 1922 in Blackwell, OK. Her parents were Emmett Lyon and Elizabeth Webster Lyon. She was married to Harold Adams on May 1, 1941. To this union three children were born. She is survived by her three children, Karen Perrin and husband Ted of Edmond, Dr. William Adams and wife Roselyn of Brownsville, TX, and Rev. Kevin Adams and wife LouAnne of Phoenix, AZ; and grandchildren Steve Perrin and wife Sherri of Oklahoma City; David Perrin and wife Christy of Rio Rancho, NM; Russell Adams and wife Clara of Brownsville, TX; Kirstin Adams Langreich and husband Don of San Antonio, TX; Micah Adams and wife Trisha of Oklahoma City; Seth Adams of Oklahoma City, also, four great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Harold, her parents, and sister Dorothy Koelling and brother Don Lyon and one grandson, Christian Adams.

Clella Adams passed away March 17 th in Edmond and a memorial service is to be held at First Christian Church, Edmond on Friday, March 22 at 10 am. She was a long-time member of First Christian Church and the Homebuilders SS Class. The family would like to thank the nurses at Bradford Village Health Center and Good Shepherd Hospice for their kindness and care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to Breakfast on Boulevard at First Christian Church, P.O. Box 3548 Edmond, OK 73034.
