Cynthia Ann Barber

Cindy Ann Barber - age 72, passed away on September 17, 2025. She was born in Edmond, OK, to Ruth and Dwayne Barber. She attended Edmond schools and graduated from Edmond High School in 1972. She spent the majority of her life in the Edmond and Oklahoma City area. 

She leaves behind her partner of over 20 years, Ricky Kern, daughter Haley (husband Kurtis Becker), and son Nick Barber. Also, stepsons Keith (wife Amanda), Kyle (fiancée Bailey), and her grandchildren, Madelyn Pendergraph, Nate Becker, and Alice Kern. She is also survived by her sisters Becky Shelby, Karen Meza (husband Joe), Carolyn Dempewolf (husband Tony), Terri Bennett (husband Michael) and Martha Barber. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Debbie Dunbar, and brother-in-law Eddie Shelby. She was survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins who were very dear to her heart. 

If you knew Cindy well, I am sure you have a good story to tell. You never had a dull moment when Cindy was involved in any mischief.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 27, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Matthews Funeral Home Chapel in Edmond, OK.
