1954-2018

Cynthia G. Bernal was peacefully called to be with the lord on September, 28 th 2018. She was surrounded by her loved ones. Cynthia was born on January 8 th 1954 in Fort Worth, TX. Prior to graduating from Alice High School in 1972, she traveled the world with her air force military family. She then attended college at Texas A&M at Kingsville, TX. After marrying her husband Antonio Bernal Jr. they moved from Odessa, TX to Edmond, OK in the summer of 1990. She worked in the medical field as a CNA and MAT, she also gave her time as a personal caregiver to the elderly. During this time, she also co-owned and operated a small masonry business, Bernal Masonry, Inc. with her husband. Cynthia retired from her professional career from Hertz rental car in 2013. Among her many accomplishments, her and her husband helped founded Unchained Lifestyles, a ministry leading individuals to finding sobriety through Christ. She was a passionate homemaker, wife, and mother who loved to spend most of her time with her husband, children, and grandchildren.

Cynthia loved the lord and had great faith.

She is preceeded in death by her parents: Amador E. Garza and Elva H. Galloway, and Sister Ofelia E. Garza. She is survived by her husband of 30 years Antonio Bernal Jr. and Son Antonio Bernal III, OKC, Daughter Michelle F. Strealy and Spouse Andrew G. Strealy and grandchildren Christina N. Duskin, Tyndal M. Fields, and Parker R. Strealy. Daughter Roxanne M. Pena and grandchildren Valerie A. Pena, Jarred A. Pena, and Charles K. Akins, all of OKC.

Her siblings sister Odett G. Carillo of OKC, brother Amador E. Garza II of Bartlesville, OK, brother John R. Garza and Spouse Robin Garza of College Station, TX, brother Joe J. Garza of OKC, and sister Tracy L. Lares of OKC

Cynthia had numerous nieces and nephews.

Private viewing will be held for Immediate Family. Burial Services will be held on Monday Oct. 1, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Rose Hill Burial Park 6001 NW Grand Blvd, OKC, OK 73118.   Memorial Services will be held after at Crown Heights Church 4020 N. Western Ave OKC, OK 73118
