Dalayne Sue Mahoney

Dalayne Sue Mahoney, age 55, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026. Born on July 26, 1971, Dalayne was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew her, bringing an unforgettable warmth and a delightfully mischievous spirit wherever she went.

Her smile, her hugs and her "orneriness" were completely infectious. She possessed a wonderful, pure sense of humor and loved nothing more than to giggle until she snorted, a sound that brought instant joy to those around her. Dalayne was happiest when surrounded by her family, and you simply never saw her without a deck of cards nearby, always ready to play and share a laugh.

Dalayne leaves behind a deeply devoted family who will miss her every day: her mother and stepfather, Dixie and Jim Farrar; her father, Kirk Mahoney; her sisters and their families, Dana, Dan, Darci, and Dylan Sorrells, and Della, Robert, Robert (and wife Audrey), Ryan, and Rylee Gregg; and her brother, Kevin Farrar.

The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the countless friends who filled Dalayne's life with love. Thank you to everyone who took the time to visit her during her many stays in the hospital and to those who faithfully sent her birthday cards. To the friends and caregivers who accepted her, cared for her, and loved her so deeply: your kind actions never went unnoticed. Her family is profoundly grateful for you being the hands, feet, and heart of Jesus—for in your kindness, you may have been entertaining an angel.

Service & Memorial Information

Services will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond, Oklahoma. We will be live streaming this service, to watch the service CLICK HERE to go to our YouTube page.
