Dale M. Bailey
March 31, 1931 – February 8, 2018
Dale M. Bailey, 86, of Edmond Oklahoma, passed away peacefully surrounded by the ones he laughed with, lived for, and loved on February 8, 2018. He was predeceased by his wife Peggy Bailey who he was married to for 46 years.
Dale was born in Clinton Oklahoma and joined the 45 th Infantry Division of the Oklahoma Army National guard in 1948 and served in the Korean War. He went on to serve full time in the Oklahoma National Guard and retired after 37 years as a Lt. Colonel.
He is survived by his four children, Dana Bailey and Dan Clements, Carla and Raymond Young, Joe and Susan Bailey, Janet and Dan Townsend. Grandchildren; Jason Burrows, Travis Carmack, Katy Taylor, Jarred Watson, Meghan Macy, Tyler Thompson, Justin Thompson, Wesley Townsend, Garrett Townsend, Reilly Townsend and 6 great grandchildren.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the members of the Physician's Choice Hospice Care Association. Their dedication and effort to provide quality care over the last 2 months were a heartwarming blessing to the entire family. We thank God for the gift of his life and the blessing of the time we spent with him.
Rosary Vigil will be held at Matthews Funeral Home on Monday February 12 th at 6:30 p.m. 601. S. Kelly Ave in Edmond
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend Linh Bui and Reverend Larok O. Martin on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at The Catholic Parish of St. John the Baptist, 900 S. Littler Avenue in Edmond.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to Physician's Choice Hospice or Catholic Charities.
