1941-2024

Daniel (Dan) Kolar passed away on October 18, 2024, at the age of 83 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

He was born on July 26, 1941, in Richland Center, Wisconsin to Valerian and Bernadette Kolar. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ken, and wife, Mary.

Dan attended school in Muscoda, Wisconsin and graduated from Muscoda High School in 1959. He attended the University of Wisconsin, Platteville where he earned a degree in Ag- Education. Dan worked in the Meat Industry for more than 50 years. He held many various positions from sales to management and enjoyed the relationships he made. After retirement, Dan enjoyed consulting for meat and spice companies. He enjoyed attending trade shows and promoting products at local grocery stores across the state.

Dan married the love of his life, Mary Jeanette Schneider, on February 8 ,1964. They were high school sweethearts and were even crowned King and Queen during their Junior Prom. Together they had two children, Chris (Johnna) Kolar of Wichita, Kansas and Renee (Jerry) Conduff of Beaverton, Oregon. They had three grandchildren, Nicole, Kara (Caleb), and Carly.

In retirement, he enjoyed traveling all over the world and loved sharing his photos and experiences with friends and family. As anyone would say, Dan never met a stranger.

Memorial Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 25, 2024 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edmond, Oklahoma.
