Darren Todd Ford, 56, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away on June 9, 2025. He will be memorialized on June 18, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at The Lookout at Kickingbird Golf Club.
Darren was born in Pawnee, Oklahoma on February 3rd, 1969 to parents Shirley and Lindon and grew up alongside his siblings, Eric and Sherry. He spent his youth swimming, working hard at basketball, and working harder at retaliating against his brother and sister, eventually graduating from Edmond Memorial High School in 1987.
He met his wife on a blind date while attending the University of Central Oklahoma and married in 1994. He went on to raise two children in whom he instilled a love for nerdy media, determined debate, and witty comebacks.
Darren had a varied career and spent a lifetime working alongside his father. Starting at R&R Empire Supply in high school, he later learned computer programming and eventually developed real estate for nearly two decades, naming his company in honor of his two kids. He was dedicated to his work, taking pride in creating high-quality spaces above the expected standards.
Darren relished any opportunity to share his many passions. He could always bring a story from a favorite comedian into the conversation and loved to discover new musical artists on YouTube. A recreational fisher who found peace by the water, he also invested time in his favorite games, including fantasy football, poker, and Dungeons & Dragons. He loved to tell a story and to be the only one laughing. Constantly in the company of his mischievous and beloved Australian Shepard, he later took up learning piano and embraced his new role as "Pop" by always saying yes to his granddaughter.
Darren passed unexpectedly at home due to heart related conditions.
He is survived by parents, Lindon and Shirley Ford; siblings, Eric Ford and Sherry Swanson; wife, Shelia Ford; children, Parker Ford and Jordan Bond; grandchild, Lydia Bond; and numerous loved ones and innumerable members of his community.
