David Montgomery, aged 76, passed away on December 7, 2024. David, or "Dave," was born on August 7, 1948 in Oneonta, NY. He bravely served his country during the Vietnam War, demonstrating courage and dedication in the face of adversity. Dave married the love of his life, Josephine, on July 24, 1977. They spent the next 47 years writing new chapters in their lives. Dave's journey through life was complicated with his share of struggles and difficulties. However, he also had moments of tenderness and love that will remain cherished by his loved ones. Dave's experiences during the war undoubtedly shaped his outlook on life and influenced the paths he chose. Despite his challenges, you saw the occasional glimpses of the man he could have been. He possessed moments of kindness, had a witty sense of humor, and showed resilience. He was charismatic, a social butterfly, and he loved the best way he knew how. Dave is survived by his wife Josephine, son Eric, daughters Lisa and Jennifer, one granddaughter and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his father Millard, mother Dorothy, brother Paul, and sister Elaine. Dave's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
