Deborah Jeanne Slosky

1951 – 2024

Our beloved Deborah Jeanne Slosky, "Babs", of Edmond, OK, left us on July 18th 2024 to join her Heavenly Father, her mother Laverne Lester, and her ever so loved husband George, whom she loved to call "Georgious".  Debbie was surrounded by close family and loved ones.

Debbie was born May 28, 1951 to Lavergne and Tom Lester in Oklahoma City, OK.  Debbie was a devoted mother, loving wife, and a dedicated woman of Faith. She was a true renaissance woman with passions for gardening, writing, decorating, entertaining guests, and most of all making sure things were done her way, and would lovingly say "Because it's the correct way". Most of all, she showered her love through the giving of gifts.

Deborah is survived by daughter Amy Turner and husband Brandon, son Paul Ratliff, wife Shelly and kids Jessi, Anna, Josh, daughter Ashley Slosky and her partner Nathan Tanksley, step daughter Tammi Kollinger and husband Ross, sisters Susan McReynolds and Linda Simonson, and brother Tim Lester. Her grandchildren, Alex, Paisley, Olivia, Sophie, and her nearest and dearest friend Diane Stout.  Deborah is preceded in death by mother LaVergne Lester, and husband George Slosky.

Debbie will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her kind spirit, sense of humor, and generous heart touched countless lives, and her legacy will live through the many lives she touched.

Service will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2024, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Matthews Funeral Home Chapel in Edmond, OK. Inurnment will be held at Oakwood Cemetery.
