1980 – 2023
Deborah Grace (Cleem) Watts, 43, of Edmond, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord on December 29, 2023 at 6:25 a.m. after a cardiac event. Though her passing was sudden and unexpected, she was surrounded by her parents and many members of her husband's family.
Deborah was born on May 14, 1980, in Fort Worth, Texas. After Texas, her family spent time in Louisiana, California, Taiwan, and Arkansas, sharing the gospel before settling in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Deborah was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend to many, but her greatest calling was being a child of God. She graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2008 and on the same day, became engaged to her sweetheart, Trevor. They spent most of their marriage in California where she worked as a CNA before taking two years off to attend a Bible School in Truth and Service. After graduating from Bible School, Trevor and Deborah welcomed their son Jachin Jedidiah in 2013. She went on to serve the young people in the Church in Anaheim for many years. In 2020, the Watts family moved back to Oklahoma to be closer to family. Deborah had many friends, sisters and brothers in Christ and her profound and unwavering love and kindness left an indelible mark on each of them. She was a beacon of the Lord's love and a source of immeasurable joy to those around her.
Deborah is survived by her loving husband Trevor Watts of Edmond; the light of her life – her son Jachin Jedidiah Watts of Edmond; her caring parents Rick and Jorita Cleem of Edmond; her four beloved sisters, Janie (Phil) Ross of Arlington, Rita (Will) Allen of Stillwater, Patrice (Dave) Low of Edmond and Sara (Doug) Eckels of Colorado Springs. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews who she loved dearly – Piers and Alex Ross; Ben, Jon and Caleb Allen; Taylor and Tristen Low and Noah and Norah Eckels.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents Joseph and Rita Galiano and Dick and Esther Cleem. She is also preceded in death by her beloved niece Naomi Eckels.
A memorial service will be held in her honor at the Church in Oklahoma City located at 6421 S. Walker Ave., Oklahoma City, on Saturday, January 6 at 2 p.m. Flowers can be sent to Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond, Oklahoma, and stories can be submitted to rememberingdeborahwatts@gmail.com .
Deborah's warm presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. While her family is heartbroken by her sudden passing, they take comfort in knowing that through Christ's gift of salvation, they will see her again.
