Debra Ann Peaster

December 29, 1961 — January 14, 2026

Oklahoma City

Debbie Peaster, age 64, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Debbie was born to Ann Hughes and was preceded in death by her father, Bill “Tex” Hughes. She was foremost a wonderful and devoted mother who poured all her strength, love, and heart into raising her two daughters, Chelsey Peaster and Sabra McCann, who is married to Cori McCann. Debbie was a proud and loving grandmother to Spencer and Celesse, who brought her great joy.

She is also survived by her mother, Ann Hughes; her sister, Tina Murry, and her husband, Mark; and many beloved nieces and nephews, all of whom she cherished deeply.

Debbie was a very special woman whose kindness and loving spirit touched everyone she met. She had a deep love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing and camping, finding peace and happiness in nature. Her warmth, generosity, and gentle heart won the affection of all who crossed her path.

She also loved rock and roll, peace signs and daisies. She was a flower child through and through. She had many cats over the years, and often referred to the poem 'rainbow bridge' when she would say how she couldn't wait to see them again in heaven. She is smiling with them now as she gets to spoil them again.

Debbie’s legacy lives on through her family and friends who will forever remember her love, remembered by all who knew her.

The family will hold a Memorial Service at Oakdale Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
