Delores Condon Hales was born on May 8, 1938, in Beaumont, Texas to William Joseph Condon and Sarah Ruth Cunningham Condon. She was welcomed into the arms of our Lord on September 1, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her husband Don Wayne Hales, her parents Sarah Ruth Cunningham and Lee Roy Buchanan, her son, Daniel Weldon Hausler (Kathy), and her nephew, Richard William Condon. She is survived by her brother, Richard Condon (Sandra), a nephew Robert Condon (Pam), and other nieces and nephews.

Her grandmother Annie Laura Cunningham was a strong influence in her young life helping to raise her with a strict Christian ethic.

She attended Austin High School and Southwestern Business University in Houston.

Delores married Don Hales on December 17, 1969. Throughout their married life they lived in Houston, Shreveport, and Dallas before moving to Oklahoma City in 1979. She was an employee of the Oil and Gas Industry throughout her career working at Mitchell Energy, Houston; Texas Pacific Oil Co., Dallas; Grace Petroleum and Universal Resources/Questar/QEP, Oklahoma City.

Delores and Don enjoyed traveling together throughout the United States. They particularly enjoyed frequent trips to Branson, Missouri.

She was a long-time active member of the Desk and Derrick Clubs of Houston and Oklahoma City. She enjoyed the educational opportunity the club offered as well as the field trips and National Convention gatherings with the other Clubs throughout the U.S.

Delores was a very devout Christian and served the Lord in many ways throughout her life. She had a very kind heart and was a good, loyal friend to many.

Her favorite pastime was shopping. She loved to go to the mall!

A celebration of her life will be Monday, September 9, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lord's Lutheran Church, 2900 W. Hefner Rd., Oklahoma City, OK 73120. A light lunch will follow.

In lieu of flowers donations may be given to the Alzheimer's Association, or Our Lord's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 9, 2024 at Our Lord's Lutheran Church 2900 W Hefner Rd, Oklahoma City, OK 73120.
