Dennis G. Hixon was born in Cushing, Oklahoma on October 16, 1945, the son of Dennis T. Hixon and Mary Virginia (Moss) Hixon. He passed away on December 18, 2014 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Dennis was a barber in Edmond for 50 years, and was married to his high-school sweetheart, Patricia Hixon, for 50 years. Dennis's greatest joy was to brag on his children and grandchildren
He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Donovan and James Hixon.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Patricia Hixon; son Philip Hixon with wife Stacie and their son Benjamin; daughter Dena Sanchez with husband Michael and their children Jace, Bryce, Halle, and Trace; and brother Thomas Hixon.
Visitation is 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, December 20, 2014 and 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond, Oklahoma.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday December 22, 2014 at Southern Hills Christian Church in Edmond, Oklahoma with interment to follow @ 1:30 p.m. in Stroud. The family welcomes attendees to bring a scrapbook page of pictures and memories to add to Dennis's scrapbook. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the CDC Scholarship Fund or the Elders Fund at Southern Hills Christian Church, Edmond, OK.
