Dianne Snyder
1946 – 2024
Dianne Garmany Snyder, aged 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and went to be with the Lord on November 16, 2024 in Edmond, Oklahoma. Born on May 28, 1946 in Shreveport, Louisiana, Dianne was known for her impeccable style and loving nature, touching the lives of many as a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and sister.
Dianne had a vibrant career starting as a stewardess for Braniff Airlines alongside her twin sister. She later helped her husband with the family-owned business, Snyder Hardware, and served as a bookkeeper for Oklahoma Christian Apartments.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Dianne cherished her time in the kitchen baking treats that brought joy to family gatherings.
She leaves behind a loving family, including her daughters Shele Cook and her husband Gary, Leah Segress and her husband Chad, all from Edmond, OK. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren Chandler Cook and his wife Brenden, Kendall Cook, Paeton Jones, and Adi Segress, and great-granddaughter Channing Cook. Dianne is also survived by her brother John Garmany and his wife Nancy of Arlington, TX, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Senator Mark Snyder, her parents Leland and Elizabeth Garmany, and her sister Donna Garmany Thomas.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Dianne Snyder's memory.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Gracelawn Cemetery Edmond, OK.
