Dorothy L. Gilpin
1927 – 2020
Dorothy LaMae (Graeber) Gilpin was born December 3, 1927 to Ernest E. Graeber and Dora (Mitchell) Graeber in Guthrie, Oklahoma. She was a member of The First Baptist Church of Edmond. As a child she attended Rock Mound School and Edmond High School. Later she worked at the Wide Awake Café and Wiley Post Airport Restaurant. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Robert and Ernest; her husband of 74 years John Andrew Gilpin; her son David Lee and her grandson Andrew (Andy) Wooden. She is survived by her sister Betty Ann Graeber; daughter in law Linda Gilpin; children: Carol (Rusty) Wooden; Anita (Clyde) Jones; John (Christie) Gilpin; many grand and great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Wednesday, August 5 th at 10:00 A.M. at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Spring Creek Cemetery in Oklahoma City.
