Dorothy Jane Little

Dorothy Jane Little Boyer, 95, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at exactly 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 14, 2026, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Her long life was a profound blessing to her family and to the many people who knew and loved her.

Dorothy may have stood only 4 feet 10 inches tall and weighed 96 pounds, but she was a true firecracker - spirited, determined, joyful, and full of life. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who brought strength, warmth, and light wherever she went. Her family credits her example for so many of the best qualities they carry with them today.

She is survived by her sons, Craig Boyer and his wife, Marcia, and Dr. Gary A. Boyer; her grandchildren, Les Boyer and his wife, Julie, Lucas Boyer, and Gary Allen Boyer II; and her five great-grandchildren, Oliver, Quinn, JoJo, Bennett and Brynley. She is also survived by her nephew, Dr. Layne Goetzinger, her niece, Carla Jane Sharp and their families.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Leabo and Mava Woodard (born Bush); her sister, Lois Jean Goetzinger; her grandson, Eric Boyer; her husband of 50 years, Joe Boyer; and her second husband, Neal Little.

Throughout her working years, Dorothy served as a medical receptionist and bookkeeper. She later became a founding member of the family business, Computer Field Specialists, Inc., before officially retiring in 1992. Even in retirement, however, she never stopped investing in people and finding meaningful ways to serve.

Dorothy was a strong Christian whose faith shaped the way she lived and loved. Later in life, she discovered a special passion for mission work, particularly reaching and serving Hispanic communities. She understood that a life well lived was a life poured out in love for God and for others.

For the last seven years, Dorothy made her home at Tealridge Senior Living Center, where she formed many treasured friendships and continued to live with energy, humor, and purpose well into her 90s. She remained actively involved in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, creating memories across four generations.

Hebrews 12 calls believers to run the race set before them with endurance, looking to Jesus and the joy ahead. Dorothy ran that race faithfully each day. Her life was not without struggles and challenges, but she continued forward with courage and perseverance, leaving an example that will remain with all who knew her.

Her family grieves the loss of a beloved mother and another saint, world changer, and bringer of light. Yet, as 1 Thessalonians 4:13 reminds us, believers do not grieve as those who have no hope. Dorothy is gone from their sight, but her family knows where she is and rests in the promise that they will see her again.

Go rest high on that mountain, Mom. We'll see you soon.
