Douglas "Doug" Arnett, Sr.

Douglas "Doug" L. Arnett Sr. , Of Edmond, Okla. Was born September 18, 1942 in Stillwater, Okla. To Willis and Erma (Simpson) Arnett.

Doug was raised on a farm and attended Coyle School. Doug married the love of his life, Norma Phillips on September 3, 1961 in Helena, Arkansas. He worked for Caston Lumber company and began building houses in 1974.

Doug passed away on August 18, 2013 in Okla. City after a long battle with an illness. He is survived by his wife, Norma of the home, daughter, Debbie Arnett of Eufuala, Okla., son, Doug Arnett Jr. of Eufuala, Okla., daughter Teresa and Oscar Mendez of Edmond.

9 grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. Brother Steve Arnett of Edmond. He is preceded in death by his Parents, brother, Charles. Services are 10:00 a.m. Thursday August 22, 2013 at Quail Springs Baptist Church with interment at Coyle Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home – Edmond.
