Earl Wayne Thomas, 71, of Edmond, OK, passed from this life on March 14, 2018.

Earl Wayne was born November 16, 1946, in Edmond, OK, the fifth child out of seven of Nora Alice (Casey) and Elihugh Allen Thomas. He was married to his wife Carole Jean Goodnight and celebrated 51 years of marriage.  He began working for Tinker Air Force Base in 1968 where he worked as a Civil Servant for 32 years and took an early retirement. In 1980 he received a BS in Accounting from Central State University.

Throughout his life, Wayne had a passion for serving in ministry at the Edmond Church of Christ, where he remained a member for over 50 years. He also had interests in gardening, working on cars, studying history, and spending time with family.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brothers Roy of Edmond, OK and Melvin of MA.  Wayne is survived by his wife Carole, son Kenneth and his wife Laura and daughters, Amanda, and Ashley of Moore, OK; his son Kevin and his wife Shannon and son Matthew, of Yukon, OK and daughter Keri and husband Mark Sieh and daughters Robyne and Katelyn of O'Fallon, MO.  Also surviving are his three brothers Johnny of Orange, CA, Jackie of Perkins, OK, Paul Allen of Edmond, OK and sister Darlene Sebring of Mustang, OK as well as a large loving extended family.

Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond will be hosting visitation between 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Friday March 16, 2018. Services will be held in the chapel of the Edmond Church of Christ at 10:00 am, Saturday, March 17, 2018.  A graveside service will follow at Gracelawn Cemetery.
