1956-2021

Eddie Lynn Brakhage, 65, of Edmond was born January 24, 1956 in Enid, OK to Vernon and Rosalie (Holz) Brakhage.  He passed away on August 5, 2021 in Oklahoma City.

Eddie was raised in Kingfisher, OK graduating from Kingfisher High School in 1974.  He attended OSU in Stillwater.  Eddie started his profession in the Oilfield as a Rough Neck, advancing to a Pipeline Mechanic, managing multiple Pump Stations in western Oklahoma.  Eddie's adherence to precise standards served him well during his career.  He retired from Conoco-Phillips in 2019.

As a boy growing up, Eddie loved to take apart anything electrical, to learn how it worked.  He loved to fish and was an avid reader.  He could be counted on to answer questions about a wide variety of many subjects, particularly pertaining to "how it worked".   Throughout adulthood Eddie enjoyed working on many projects with his dad, including welding, making fishing tackle, and outfitting trout lines.

He is survived by his sister, Diana Martin (David) of Edmond, Sister-in-law Susan Brakhage of McKinney, TX, sister Gayla Heinrichs (David) of Drummond, Brother Dale Brakhage (Kim) of Seminole, Sister Robin Bailey (David) of Edmond.  Nieces and Nephews, Chris (Lindsey), Kyle (Shae), Kara (Doug),  Jason (Monteshia), Bradley (Kimberly), Patrick (Sheree), Sean (Phil).  Great nieces and nephews, Austin, Dillon, Addison, Katie, Emma, Ethan, Derek, Rebekah, Jayleigh, Maddyn, Kendall and Greta Rosalie.

He is preceded in death by his parents Vernon and Rosalie Brakhage and brother Jay.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, August 9, 2021 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid, OK.
