Edith Mae Baird
1931-2016
Edith Mae Baird went home to be with the Lord on September 3, 2016 at her home in Edmond, Ok. Edie was born April 7, 1931 in Pittsburgh, PA to William Charles Barton and Marie Barbara Schilling the second of three daughters.
Edie was preceded in death by her parents, her older infant sister Mary Louise, her husband Jack O. Baird and her friend and father of her children, Mack Dan Atkinson, Sr.
She is survived by her children Sharon and Steve McClelland, Valerie Mullins, Mack Dan Atkinson, Jr, David and Lorrie Atkinson and her step-daughter Terry Gann; her sister Charlene Williams; eleven grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren with the 21 st making her debut this November.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. on Friday, September 9 th at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas, followed by a celebration of Edie's life at the Hampton Inn & Suites, 830 W. Stacy Rd. Allen, Tx. All of her friends and family are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Edie's favorite charity , Wounded Warriors.
