Ellison Caroll Hunt passed away July 1, 2014 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
He is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law; Gina Hunt of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Vicki and Kevin Ihrig of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three grandchildren Brooke Victoria Morris, Micah Paul Ihrig, and Brandon Hunt Ihrig of Tulsa Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents William Paul Hunt and Adelia Conway Hunt; his wife, Billie Kinder Hunt; his second wife Marion Hanlin Hunt; 4 brothers, Byron Hunt, Wade Hunt, Kenneth Hunt, and Edward Hunt; and 5 sisters, Edith McKinney, Hattie Washburn, Paulene Brown, Helen Winkelman, and Jackie Keith.
Caroll was born near Grandfield, Oklahoma April 21, 1928. He resided in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for 35 years before relocating to The Arbors Assisted Living in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Caroll was Honorably Discharged from the Army November 30, 1956.
Caroll liked people of all kind. Conversation came easy wherever he was, whether employment, his church, serving as a Stephen Minister, or his time as a care giver to many family members throughout his life.
As a father, he never missed his daughter's recitals, basket ball games, cheer, school events, birthdays, College Dad's Day, and many late night calls from college.
A private burial is scheduled at Oklahoma City Resurrection Memorial Cemetery. A Memorial celebration of his life is scheduled at Church of the Servant, 14343 N. MacArthur Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 2pm.
The family would like to thank Dr. Jon Axton and Nurse Mary Jo of Oklahoma City for their care and support during his battle with cancer and Tulsa Arbors Assisted Living for their care as well. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Grace Hospice Foundation.
