Estella Ann Jones of Edmond, Oklahoma passed peacefully from this life Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at the age of 83. Ann, as she was known to family and friends, was born in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, on November 24, 1942, to parents Marvin Welch and Dorothy Beddo Welch. She attended Pauls Valley Schools, graduating in 1960. Ann married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Meaders Jones, September 1, 1961.
After working in a clerical profession to help put her husband through school, Ann became a full-time wife and homemaker, taking excellent care of Bob and raising two children, Greg Jones and Kristin Ann Jones Shea. She was also a wonderful and doting grandmother to her two grandchildren Allison and Thomas, who loved their “Annie.”
Ann enjoyed playing tennis and golf and pressing flowers. She, Bob, Greg and Kristin, spent many weekends waterskiing at area lakes with their friends. She also loved spending time traveling to the mountains and beaches with her family. Ann was loved by all who knew her and was a beautiful light at all family gatherings. Those gatherings will not be the same without her.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bob, Brother-In-Law David, nephew Clayton and one granddaughter, Lucy Fjelland Jones.
She is survived by her son, Greg and wife Karen Shelton Jones of Oklahoma City; her daughter Kristin and husband Marc Shea of Edmond; her granddaughter, Allison Jones Jech and husband Aaron, her great-grandchildren, Aliza and Owen Jech of Edmond, Oklahoma; her grandson Thomas and wife Haley Jones of Oklahoma City; her brother, Marvin Welch and wife Elaine of Houston, Texas; her sister Debbie Snow and husband John of Eufaula, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews; her sister-in-law, Wilma Bettes Jones of Norman, Oklahoma; and many members of her extended family, the Sheltons.
