Eunice Langager

1924-2018

Eunice Alice Lois Langager was born on Feb 22, 1924, the 3rd of 4 children born to Eddie and Matilda Bulau, in Gibbon, MN. She was baptized at St Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church and confirmed on May 9, 1937.

Eunice attended Olivia High School. After classes, she could be found cleaning homes, singing with her sister, AnnaBelle, at many church functions and events and working at a local soda, serving up ice cream (which she became quite fond of in her later years!). Eunice could also be found dancing the Two-Step and the Lindy Hop whenever possible.

After graduating from high school, she attended the Hutchinson Teachers College. While there, she and her sister, loved to spend time at the Willmar roller skating rink where she met and fell in love with her future husband, Truman Langager. She said he was the best dancer on skates! Eunice taught grades 1-8 in a one-room school house for a few years.

Following Truman's return from serving in the South Pacific during WWll, they married on June 1, 1945 and had 4 children: Pam, Todd, Amy and Chad. The family moved often as Truman's career advanced. Eventually she and Truman settled in Edmond, OK.

During her life, Eunice served in Booster Clubs, LWML, as a church treasurer, choirs, hospital auxiliary boards and many bridge clubs. She was an avid reader, loved old movies, was a wonderful cook, talented knitter and a great friend to more people than can be numbered.

On November 29th, God in His mercy, called His good and faithful servant home into His glorious kingdom, as she was surrounded by her family.

Her profound love for her Savior, her wisdom, ceaseless love and commitment to her family, her wonderful sense of humor, quick wit, feisty personality, demanding 'kisses first', and rides on her walker with her 'Greats', all these and so very much more will be treasured in our hearts forever.

She will be sadly missed by her children: Pam (Jim Duit), Todd (Carol), Amy (Joe Swedberg), Chad, 8 grandchildren (Tim, Trent, Kimberly, Mandy, Matt, Karah, Brody and Lindy), 13 great-grandchildren (Haley, Chloe, Jessie, Lily Kate, Parker, Hudson, Avery, Hazel, Truman, Taryn, Harper, Nora and Kenny), numerous nieces and nephews and by all who had a chance to know and love her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers (Carl and Earl), her sister (AnnaBelle) and her husband, Truman.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Edmond, OK.
