Floyd Virgil Percival

July 1, 1938 — September 28, 2025

Edmond

Many might remember Floyd as a hardworking businessman, but those who knew him well remember him as a cowboy and rancher who had a soft heart but was tough as a boot.

Floyd Virgil Percival, 87 of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed peacefully into his eternal home on September 28, 2025. He was surrounded by family and loved ones. Floyd was born July 1, 1938, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Virgil Percival and Lorena Miller.

Floyd’s journey through life was uniquely his own. He lived a life rooted in love, integrity, and service. As a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Floyd served his country with honor. Following his journey through the military, Floyd joined the Masonic Fraternity and raised a Master Mason at Amity Lodge #473. He continued his journey by becoming a member of the Oklahoma Scottish Rite and a member of the India Shrine. Through the years, Floyd’s love for both brotherhoods was something he cherished dearly. After his time in the military, he continued his career in construction, oil and gas, real estate, and ranching. He spent a lot of time working on business deals, but his most memorable times were spent on the ranch.

After building the ranch of their dreams, he fell in love with raising and showing, cutting horses. Floyd also found joy in fishing, hunting, gardening, and spending time with his family. His love for nature and animals was a consistent presence in his life. Some of those cherished memories while he and Martha were living at Cross Tie Ranch were working his cattle, taking the grandkids fishing, and winning many cutting horse shows on the horses that he loved.

Floyd cherished his family and friends, he found joy in listening to their stories, laughing together, and reminiscing on the many memories made. Above all, his greatest love was the love of his life, Martha. He treasured every dance, every vacation, and every moment spent together, always making her the center of his heart. Full of love, courage, and faith, he will be remembered for his fearless spirit, devotion to Martha and his family, and the joy and laughter he brought to us all.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Lorena, and sisters Claramae and Suzanne.

He is survived by his loving wife, Martha Percival of Edmond, Oklahoma, daughter Deborah Fisher and her husband Randy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, daughter Karen Russell of Mustang, Oklahoma, daughter Diana Caton of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, daughter Jenny Moore and her husband Chris of Edmond, Oklahoma, and son Steven Bishop of Guthrie, Oklahoma. Grandchildren; Tiffany Russell, Jason Russell, Jeffery Caton, Chad Fisher, Kelsey Fisher, Kayla Moore, Lindsey Haug, Kelby Moore, Megan Sawyer, several great grandchildren, and great- great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Floyd leaves behind several other relatives and friends who love and will miss him dearly.

We couldn’t have asked for a better husband, dad, brother, grandpa, great grandpa, great- great grandpa, and friend. We will miss Floyd every day, but his memories will live on forever in the hearts of all those who love him.
