Geraldine Gould Pearson, born July 27, 1929, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2025, at the age of 95 in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Geraldine was born in Chicago, Illinois to Edward Cauvet Gould and Harriet Steel Gould and was raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She attended the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis where she met Marvin Wallace Pearson, the love of her life. They were married on September 22, 1951, and built a life full of love, family, and adventure over more than 60 years together. They lived in Ely, Minnesota, Spokane, Washington, Escanaba, Michigan, Wausau, Wisconsin, and Atlanta, Georgia, before retiring to Edmond, Oklahoma in 1993. They enjoyed camping, fishing, and the natural beauty of the wilderness, and spent many happy summers in at Armour Lake in Presque Isle, Wisconsin. They especially cherished their time in the Boundary Waters of northern Minnesota. Their shared passion for travel led them to explore many places, always side by side.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her beloved husband Marvin, who passed away in 2012. She is survived by her daughter Nancy Moreno, her son Edward Pearson and his wife Rhonda Pearson, and her sister Ellen Harkey. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Helena Moreno, Felix Moreno, Tanae Clark, Brandon Pearson, Keith Pearson, Shayla Pearson, and eight great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy. She also leaves behind seven nieces and nephews.

Geraldine will be remembered for her quiet strength, her love of family and nature, and the grace with which she lived her long and meaningful life. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.

Geraldine's life will be celebrated on Saturday, May 10, with family visitation at 9:30 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 10:00 a.m. at Matthews Funeral Home, 601 S. Kelly, Edmond, Oklahoma 73003. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to a nature conservation organization in Geraldine's memory.
