Geraldine "Jeri" Turner
1930-2018
Jeri was born in Apache, OK to Earnest and Viola Walling on February 21, 1930, and died May 13, 2018, at the age of 88 while living at the Veraden in Edmond, OK. She graduated from Elgin High School in 1948 and attended Cameron College. On June 13, 1953, Jeri married the love of her life, Fred Turner. Together they raised 9 children and were married for 64 years, until Fred died on July 15, 2017. Jeri is survived by her daughter Melody Turner of Lawton, Ok; son, Kevin Turner and wife Judith of Edmond, OK; daughter Kathy Bell of Kingfisher, OK; son Kent Turner and wife Micki of Warrenton, VA; son Keith Turner and wife Kathy of Edmond, OK; son Anthony Turner of Dallas, TX; son Keary and wife Patty of Flower Mound, TX; as well as twelve grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and a nephew, Steve Deno of Dodge City, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents Earnest and Viola, husband Fred, son Christopher and daughter Candace. Jeri was a wonderful mother and a fine Christian woman. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and many friends.
Jeri's interment service will be held at Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, OK, on Thursday May 17, 2018, at 10:00 a.m.
