Gladys Eberline
1918-2013
Gladys Eberline was born March 16, 1918 to Aaron and Esther Johnson on a farm west of Axtell, Kansas. She was the fourth daughter of seven children born to Swedish immigrant parents who came to the United States in 1890. Gladys departed her earthly home for the Eternal Kingdom on December 13, 2013.
On April 12, 1941 she married Howard Eberline. Howard and her son bobby predeceased her. She is survived by eleven nieces and nephews.
Gladys spent her life as a homemaker, secretary and real estate associate. She moved to Edmond from Santa Fe with her family in 1968 and was a resident there until her death.
She spent many wonderful days with her Morgan horses. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Edmond, Chapter ES P.E.O, and the American Morgan Horse Association
Gladys was fondly called "the Cookie Lady" as she delivered many delicious cookies over the years to those who need "cheering up".
A beloved friend to so many Gladys will be sorely missed.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the building fund of the First Presbyterian Church in Edmond.
Services will be held at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2013. nterment will follow services at Memorial Park Cemetery.
